Witness is a love letter written by the Apostle John in his later years to the beloved. From a firsthand view, John gives his perspective as the disciple Jesus loved, leading to the greatest story ever told. It is written to be enjoyed alone or as study guide. An accompanying workbook is available built on an eight session study of the events unfolding in the book.

The backdrop of the story begins prior to the apostle's birth; while his Father, Zebedee and older Brother James tend their sheep on a hillside outside Bethlehem.

The introduction provides the reader with a fictional twist; the shepherds who call on the baby Jesus the night of his birth, are none other than Zebedee and his son James. One night while watching their sheep, they are visited by an angel who instructs them to go into Bethlehem where they will find the promised Messiah wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger. Another twist unfolds as they recognize the baby’s mother to be none other than Mary, the sister of Zebedee’s wife Salome.

Watch the interaction between James and Jesus as the child grows into a toddler. Observe as camels carrying Magi from the east arrive with gifts fit for a King. Be dismayed as an angel sent by God tells Joseph to take his wife and child and flee Bethlehem. Imagine the horror witnessing the cruelty inflicted by soldiers sent by a depraved, wicked, narcissistic king with orders to kill all babies attempting to destroy Jesus.
